Klas presents Bosnian cuisine at the world's largest food fair

Bosnia and Herzegovina's food industry Klas d.d. Sarajevo is the only company from BiH exhibiting and representing our country at the world's largest food fair Anuga 2015, which this year is being held from October 10 to 14 in the German city of Cologne. This is the first time that a BiH company with its own stand is represented within the official program of the Anuga fair, reports the Patria News Agency.

On this occasion, Klas presented its deep-frozen bakery assortment, as well as some of the delicacies of Bosnian cuisine. In the category “Anuga Frozen Food“, among several hundred exhibitors with food from all over the world, there were also Sarajevo somuns, pies, pastries, puff pastries, and syrupy cakes.

- Klas proudly and honorably represents Bosnia and Herzegovina at the world's largest food fair this year. The interest is great, and our Sarajevo somuns, pies, baklavas, and hurmašice are attracting the most attention and sighs. We have offered Europe and the world something special and irresistible, but as ready meals and in a way that they can prepare them themselves every day in their own homes - said Adnan Hodžić, director of Velepekara Klas.

Especially for this occasion, Klas designed its exhibition interactive stand with an area of 45m2, where, in addition to mandatory product tasting, visitors will be able to access online presentations of products intended for export markets at any time. A novelty for Klas is that instead of traditional print catalogs at the Anuga fair, the so-called QR code was used, which provides quick access to digital content of Klas's marketing offer via the website, virtual sales catalogs, and Facebook and YouTube channels.

- In Cologne, we brought the most modern oven and accompanying equipment, thanks to which we prepare products on the spot, even according to visitors' wishes. It is difficult to resist the aroma of pies and somuns. A large number of representatives from the industry visited our stand at the very beginning of the fair. A series of business meetings were held.

Klas Export Director Almira Zulić and Export Manager Muamer Valjevčić also arranged several visits to the Klas factory in Sarajevo. Visitors from the bakery and confectionery industry from Europe, America, and Asia left our stand with pleasant impressions, enjoying the specialties of Bosnian cuisine. They expressed their satisfaction that BiH finally has a representative at this largest food fair in Europe - said Hodžić.

 

This year, the Anuga fair brought together more than 7,000 exhibitors from 108 countries, in ten different fair categories. It is estimated that this fair, which lasts until October 14, will be visited by more than 150,000 visitors. This year's partner country is Greece.
