Funeral Prayer Held for Students Killed in the USA

The religious funeral prayer for the students killed in the USA was performed at the Raleigh mosque near a football field in Raleigh, North Carolina.

On Tuesday, on the campus in Chapel Hill, dental student Deah Barakat (23), his wife Yusor Mohammed Abu Salha (21), and her 19-year-old sister Razan Mohammed were killed.

The three were shot dead by Craig Stephen Hicks, who later surrendered to the police and identified himself as an atheist. Police claim the murder followed a dispute over a parking space.

A commemoration was also held earlier, attended by more than a thousand students.

"Muslim lives matter," "Stop Islamophobia," "Respect for Muslims" were some of the signs carried by students.

Silence and grief prevail on Summerwalk Circle, and in front of the victims' home, friends and acquaintances have left numerous wreaths of flowers.
