Chinese tourists delighted with the Balkans: Sarajevo, the Adriatic, and history leave them breathless

Chinese tourists are increasingly interested in Balkan countries due to their interesting history, attractive destinations, mountains, and beaches, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

In the last few years alone, thousands of tourists from China have visited the Balkans, and visa facilitation is an additional reason.

Sarajevo, the Danube, and Rose Valley in Bulgaria are some of the tourist spots that Chinese tourists highlight upon their return, according to Jia Bei, a travel officer at Beijing Royal International Travel.

Many tourists are university professors or company directors who already know the history and culture of Balkan countries such as Albania, Serbia, and Romania through films and music.

The best period for travel is from May to October, and they avoid the winter months as it makes travel difficult.

The average price of a package is 6,460 US dollars, as there are no direct flights, so tourists have to travel via Istanbul, Vienna, or Venice.

Also, the visit of Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, who is staying in Belgrade, will solidify this region on the tourist map.

A 16-day trip is usually prepared for tourists, which includes tours of Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, and Greece.

Zhu Biyi, a 60-year-old, spent 23 days traveling through the Balkans from the end of September to the beginning of October.

- I have been to more than 50 countries around the world, and curiosity led me to the Balkans - said Zhu, who prepared for the trip by reading literature.
- It turned out to be very exciting, and I saw how different religions and cultures integrate with each other - said Zhu.

He was very impressed with the different architectural styles and relics of major historical events he saw, and he was particularly delighted with the Adriatic Sea.

The only drawback, according to Zhu, is the guide services, which vary from country to country, and their quality is questionable, reports Patria.
