
(Patria) – Chinese billionaire Jack Ma sent millions in aid to Ethiopia in medical supplies that will be distributed to African countries needing support in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.
On the plane that landed in Addis Ababa on Sunday, there were about 5.4 million medical items such as protective masks, tests, protective clothing, and more.
Ma also sent aid to countries in Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America.
The virus initially spread slowly in Africa, but later affected at least 42 out of 54 countries on the continent.
The death toll in Iran has jumped to 1,865, with 129 people dying in the last 24 hours alone. A total of 21,638 people have been infected, while 7,913 have recovered.
Spain has become the most endangered country globally in just a few weeks; the number of people infected with the coronavirus is 28,572, and the country has lost 1,720 citizens, as many as 394 in the last 24 hours. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez warned that 'the worst is yet to come' and extended the country's lockdown until April 12.
