(Patria) – China's ambassador to Israel was found dead on Sunday in his home in a Tel Aviv suburb, an Israeli police spokesman said.
He did not comment on details related to the cause of death of Ambassador Du Wei (57), who took over as ambassador in February.
The spokesman reported that police are at the scene and an investigation has been opened.
Israeli television Channel 12 quoted medical officials who believe Wei died in his sleep and that it was a natural death.
