(Patria) – China's National Health Commission reported 34 new cases attributed to new entries into the country from Spain and Great Britain.
8 deaths were reported in Hubei province, where the virus was first discovered.
However, Hubei has not recorded a single new case of infection in the last 24 hours. The data also shows that China has no new cases of local virus transmission.
The total number of infected people in China is 80,928, of whom 70,420 have recovered, while 3,245 have died.
After the virus spread to other parts of the world, especially Europe, China now accounts for less than 50% of the total number of coronavirus infections.
