China disappointed by US veto on ceasefire between Israel and Hamas

The United States on Tuesday vetoed a draft UN Security Council resolution for the third time, blocking a demand for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, Reuters reported.

"China expresses its great disappointment and dissatisfaction with the US veto," Zhang said.

"The US veto sends the wrong message, pushing the situation in Gaza into greater danger," adding that the objection to a ceasefire is "nothing less than giving a green light for the continuation of the massacre."
