China: Corona may have appeared in the US before Wuhan

(Patria) - China claims that the coronavirus may have originated in the United States.

The Chinese accuse Washington of avoiding responsibility after the administration of US President Donald Trump blamed China for the emergence of Covid-19.

Beijing published a "white paper" on its response to the pandemic two days ago, less than two weeks after the Trump administration determined that the virus leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan.

The Chinese government stated that this is Washington's attempt to shift blame.

"Significant evidence indicates that Covid-19 may have appeared in the US before it was officially stated and before the epidemic in China," reads the "white paper" published by Xinhua.

China emphasizes that it has timely shared relevant information with the World Health Organization and the international community.

"The US should not continue to play deaf and mute, but should respond to the legitimate concerns of the international community," the document reads.
