(Patria) - China is "very disappointed" that the United States has banned certain investments in Chinese technology, said a spokesperson for the Chinese embassy in Washington, agencies reported.
In a statement, Liu Pengyu said the restrictions could "seriously undermine the interests
of Chinese and American companies and investors" and added that "China will closely monitor the situation and
firmly protect our rights and interests."
Recall that US President Joe Biden issued an executive order aimed at restricting certain US investments in sensitive high-tech areas in China, targeting sectors such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
