(Patria) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has pledged to promote cooperative relations with China in a letter to President Xi Jinping, North Korean state media KCNA reported on Sunday.
The letter was in response to congratulations Xi sent for the anniversary of North Korea's founding this month, when the Chinese president expressed his readiness to strengthen strategic communication and cooperation at the working level, Reuters recalls.
"I believe that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and China will continuously develop in accordance with
the demands of the new era and the wishes of the two peoples in the future," Kim said in the letter sent on Thursday.
DPRK are the initials of the official name of North Korea, namely the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
