Kasumović abolishes free parking passes for SDA members, seeks investments in the Market

The Mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, revealed that the Public Company "Tržnica" (Market) in this city earns about 1.4 million KM annually from rents, but instead of new projects, the money is mostly spent on the salaries of employees in this public company.

Kasumović gained the trust of citizens in the local October elections in the country, as an independent candidate. In his election campaign, he stated that he would cleanse public companies in the city of party cadres who are incapable of performing the tasks entrusted to them. He said at the time that he would replace them with young and ambitious people "who can make Zenica a progressive city".

Citizens did not have to wait long after the elections. Just a few days after taking office, Kasumović began reforms. There were dismissals of top officials in some public companies, and he also abolished some benefits that employees of the City Administration had, such as two free coffees every day, which cost the City more than 150,000 KM annually for about 300 employees.

- The Public Company "Parkinzi" (Parking) used to issue free parking passes to SDA members. I ask citizens to contact me and tell me if anyone of them received these free passes. I don't think so. I think only the 'party army from SDA' received free parking passes – Kasumović announced, and announced new reforms in Zenica, writes NAP.
