The drama in Zenica has ended. The police confirmed that there was no kidnapping of a girl, as was believed early this morning. The media initially reported that one girl was kidnapped, and another managed to escape the kidnappers, writes Patria.
The police are working intensively to uncover all the details surrounding this morning's events in the Zenica settlement of Tetovo.
Fuad Kasumović, the future mayor of Zenica, told Patria that he is happy that the information about the girl's kidnapping was not true after all, but he is encouraged by the swift reaction of the Zenica police. Now, he said, it is important for the police to investigate the entire case...
- I am glad that the police showed that they can respond very quickly to the citizens' demands. That encourages us all - Kasumović told NAP.
He called on the citizens of Zenica to all join him, once he takes office as mayor, in building Zenica into a safer and better place to live, writes NAP.
