Kasumović makes serious accusations against SDA

(Patria) - Zenica Mayor Fuad Kasumović addressed the City Council and citizens for the first time after his recent arrest in connection with the "Zenicatrans" case. He made a series of accusations primarily against the SDA, stating that while he was in detention, they offered him to resign, and in return, they would "find him a place in Sarajevo and release him." He also insulted them, asking, "Are you that stupid?".

In his introductory address, he said that "even the youngest child in this city knows who plundered Zenicatrans" and that the SDA had announced his arrest on their official and unofficial pages.

"I clearly remember three years ago, the judge of the BiH state court, Branko Perić, said in an interview on some television channel, 'there is a judicial mafia.' I was surprised that he said it officially. The SDA, together with A-SDA, has been working on this case for two years thanks to their connections in the prosecutor's office, etc. The fact that everything is dishonorable and compromising for this judiciary is evidenced by the following – since October last year, since the elections, the SDA's official and unofficial pages have mentioned that I will be arrested," said Kasumović.

Kasumović said that 4-5 months ago he met with the Chief Prosecutor of the ZDK Prosecutor's Office, Vesna Kakanj. The meeting, he says, was attended by his secretary Selver Keleštura, the prosecutor's deputy Delić, and secretary Salčinović.

"I said, 'Madam, we are a hundred and something meters apart, there is no need for what your SDA media are saying about arresting me. Call me, and I will respond as always.' But that had no effect," he said.

He also points out that everything he is accused of has been refuted in a document from the second-instance body of the Federal Ministry of Finance, which submitted that document 15-20 days ago, but they hid it.

"They couldn't defeat me politically, so they wanted to humiliate these people, not just me. Ever since I defeated you, you have been creating problems for this city. The fact that you ordered my detention like the biggest dealer and criminal in the country is typical of you. I apologize to the people who were just collateral damage, so it's not just me who is suffering; they detained 10 more people. Shame on these institutions, the SDA, and A-SDA," he said, as reported by N1.

He emphasized that the information that he was on the run was not true, but that he was out of Zenica on business and returned immediately upon seeing in the media that they were looking for him.

"By publishing false information that I was on the run, they put a target on my back. Any police officer could have shot me," he said.

Then he asked: "Where did the cameras and camcorders come from in front of my house at half past five in the morning if the prosecutor's office didn't inform the SDA media? Did God inform them?"

He stated that as soon as he arrived in Zenica, he went to SIPA and thanked them for their treatment. Later, when they handed him over, he said he was held in inhumane conditions where he contracted pneumonia, as he put it.

"One of the police officers, who I think was not on duty, and there is video surveillance, so it can be checked, sent by that ruling criminal party, told me, 'resign from that position, we will give you any position in Sarajevo, and you will be released.' You know what kind of person I am, and I said, 'Tell your own fathers to persuade them, not me.' Everything that was done was done at the request of those who humiliated the citizens. You made hundreds of citizens cry. Are you that stupid? I knew they were exhausted, but so stupid to do something like that, I see no reason," said Kasumović.

He stated that he has nothing against the investigations conducted by the judiciary, but that he is a "moral vertical.".

"Fuad Kasumović, dear citizens, is a moral vertical compared to these people. I have never been involved in crime, nor do I plan to be. The humiliation they inflicted on you, my associates, and me, let it be on your conscience," said Kasumović.

He told the SDA and A-SDA, whom he called the "axis of evil," that he would never speak to them, negotiate with them, or do anything ever again, and that he would consider their "greetings an attack on himself.".

"At SIPA, a high-ranking SIPA official met me and told me unequivocally, 'We have nothing to do with this, this is your inter-Bosniak conflict.' That hurt me more than pneumonia," concluded Kasumović.
