ZENICA, (Patria) - The Mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, received today the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Mahmoud Heidari, and his associates. Ambassador Mahmoud Heidari reminded Mayor Fuad Kasumović that Iran was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and provided all kinds of assistance during the most difficult times for the people of our homeland.
During the meeting, they discussed the intensification of cooperation in all areas, with a special focus on economic cooperation.
An initiative was proposed at the meeting for the twinning of the City of Zenica with some of the more significant cities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which would greatly facilitate the connection of businessmen from the two countries.
Opinions were exchanged on ways to develop economic and cultural relations between the City of Zenica and Iranian cities.
Mayor Kasumović expressed readiness for any form of cooperation, emphasizing that the City Administration will be available to all potential investors interested in investing in the city of Zenica.
- We discussed future cooperation in all areas and attracting potential investors. We also discussed the possibility of building a square in the city of Zenica that would bear the name of Bosnian-Iranian friendship with architectural expressions of these two countries - emphasized the mayor.
It was jointly concluded that the bilateral relations between BiH and the IR of Iran are very good and constantly improving.
