Cantonal Court in Tuzla Sentences Elvis Ćustendil to 25 Years in Prison for the Murder of Amra Kahrimanović

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Tuzla today pronounced a verdict against Elvis Ćustendil, charged with the criminal offense of murdering Amra Kahrimanović in February this year.

Given that he pleaded guilty, Ćustendil was not tried, and the Cantonal Court imposed a prison sentence of 25 years.

The judicial panel previously accepted his statement of guilt, and, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, evaluating all evidence from the Prosecutor's Office and taking into account both aggravating and mitigating circumstances, made a decision and imposed the aforementioned sentence.

The Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton will, after receiving the written copy of the verdict of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla for Elvis Ćustendil, file an appeal against this first-instance verdict with the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We recall, the accused Elvis Ćustendil, at the time a police officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton, was found guilty of shooting Amra Kahrimanović with his service pistol in the Sjenjak Shopping Center in Tuzla on the evening of February 7, 2024, and killing her.
