Cantonal Court Tuzla: Erdžan Buljubašić Sentenced to 10 Years for Murder in Stupine Settlement

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Tuzla today announced a first-instance, non-final verdict in the criminal case against Erdžan Buljubašić, accused of the criminal offense of Murder in conjunction with the criminal offense of Possession and Facilitation of Drug Use.

The court sentenced Buljubašić to 10 years in prison for the criminal offense of Murder, and four months for the criminal offense of Possession and Facilitation of Drug Use, and by applying the provisions on accumulation, imposed a unified prison sentence of 10 years and two months.

The accused was found guilty of stabbing S.S. with a knife in the left thigh in the early morning hours of February 22, 2025, in the Stupine settlement in Tuzla, causing S.S. to bleed profusely.

The accused then wrapped the victim in a blanket and left him in the building's stairwell, attempting to clean and hide the blood traces. Meanwhile, S.S. died on the floor of the building's stairwell due to external bleeding resulting from damage to the femoral artery.

The accused was also found guilty of unauthorized possession of a certain amount of narcotic drugs in his apartment.

Following the pronouncement of the verdict, the accused's pre-trial detention was extended, which can last for a maximum of nine months, counting from the date of the verdict.
