Cantonal Court Sarajevo: Six arrested remain behind bars

According to the decision of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, one-month detention was ordered today for Elvis Pašalić (28) and five other suspects for a series of robberies and arson of two cars, who were arrested on Monday in an operation by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton carried out by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Detained are Belmir Ahmetović (22), Edin (25), Sabahudin (50) and Arnel (23) Silajdžija, and Ervin Tašaković (21), as requested by the KS Prosecutor's Office after the hearing.  

The six are charged with conspiracy to commit criminal offenses, membership in an organized criminal group, robbery, illegal possession of weapons or explosives, causing general danger, i.e., car arson, and damage to another's property. 

This group has committed a series of criminal offenses in the past two months in the Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica-Doboj, and Central Bosnia cantons.

On February 3, 2015, Amir Jašarević (32) and Ismir Ademović (31) were also detained, who were released after processing by the police. 

During the searches, the police found and seized weapons, namely a machine gun, an assault rifle, two pistols, two vehicles, mobile phones and SIM cards, three tablets, as well as five balaclavas and clothing and footwear used during the commission of criminal offenses and Lottery of BiH scratch cards.
