The Cantonal Court of Sarajevo partially granted the appeal of the defense for three suspects in the murder of Dženan Memic, but they will remain in detention until a new court decision, said Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton for the Patria News Agency.
- The case has been returned for reconsideration - Bavčić stated.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton arrested three individuals at the end of May: Ljubo Seferović, Vasvija Sejdović, and Bekrija Seferović. After their interrogation, Ljubo Seferović confessed to committing criminal offenses against Dženan Memic and Alisa Mutap.
The Cantonal Court of Sarajevo ordered 30-day detention for Ljubo Seferović and Vasvija Sejdović, based on the proposal of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, due to the existence of grounded suspicion that they committed the criminal offenses of murder and attempted murder, and for Bekrija Seferović due to the existence of grounded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of obstruction of evidence.
The Memic family, with the help of friends and citizens, organized peaceful protests twice, demanding that the truth about Dženan Memic's murder finally be revealed.
