Canton Sarajevo to Get Budget for 2020 on Wednesday

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The continuation of the interrupted session of the KS Assembly from March 3 will be held on Wednesday, March 11, where the Proposal of the KS Budget for 2020 and the Proposal of the Law on Execution of the KS Budget for 2020 will be adopted. 

The new KS Government, led by Prime Minister Mario Nenadić, held its first session on Friday, March 6, where certain budget amendments were considered.  

The KS Assembly session will also consider the Proposal of the Decision on the Election of Presidents, Deputy Presidents, and Members of the Standing Working Bodies of the Assembly of the Canton of Sarajevo, the Proposal of the Law on Punishing Hate Speech of the Canton of Sarajevo, the Proposal of the Decision on Granting Consent to the Financial Plan of the Public Institution "Employment Service of the Canton of Sarajevo" Sarajevo for 2020 with the Decision on Execution of the Financial Plan of the Public Institution "Employment Service of the Canton of Sarajevo" Sarajevo for 2020, as well as deputies' questions and initiatives. 

Otherwise, the Proposal of the KS Budget for 2020 was ready back in late 2019, but due to the recomposition of power and the establishment of a new parliamentary majority consisting of SDA, SBB, and DF with 18 votes, this item was never considered. The new Government was confirmed on March 3, and the Budget will finally be adopted. Otherwise, the KS Assembly adopted the decision on temporary financing for the period January-March 2020.
