The Ministry of Health of Canton Sarajevo informs citizens that the free preventive vaccination campaign against influenza for the 2015/2016 season begins tomorrow, November 20, reports the Patria News Agency.
This year, the Health Insurance Fund of Canton Sarajevo has provided financial resources for the procurement of 12,000 doses of vaccines. The campaign is being carried out in cooperation with the Public Institution "Health Center of Canton Sarajevo", and vaccination will be available to citizens in 76 clinics of this institution.
Vaccines are free for at-risk groups of insured persons, namely: pensioners and persons over 65 years of age, chronically ill patients, persons with special needs, war invalids and civilian victims of war, as well as employees in healthcare institutions, in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo and in public city transport engaged in passenger transport, as well as for educational staff.
Citizens are required, upon arrival at the clinic, to possess a certified health identification card and appropriate documentation proving that they belong to one of the above-mentioned risk groups, it was announced from the Government of CS.
