(Patria) - Vice President Kamala Harris called the newly elected US President Donald Trump today to congratulate him on his election victory.
Her senior advisor for American media confirmed that Harris spoke with Trump about the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and about him being president of all Americans.
Earlier, foreign media reported that Harris was expected to give a speech in Washington tonight after being defeated by Trump in the presidential election.
Harris will appear at Howard University in Washington between 1 PM and 5 PM local time (7 PM and 11 PM our time), where her supporters gathered last night to celebrate a victory that ultimately did not happen.
