Kamala Harris to travel to Singapore, Bahrain, and Germany before leaving office

(Patria) - United States Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia from January 13 to 17, the White House announced on Tuesday, Reuters reported.

The trip, which is likely to be her last before leaving the vice presidency on January 20, includes stops in Singapore, Bahrain, and Germany, the White House said. Her husband, Doug Emhoff, will accompany her.

The White House said Harris will meet with leaders and visit the Changi Naval Base during her stay in Singapore on January 15.

The next day, she will meet with leaders in Manama, Bahrain, and visit Naval Support Activity – Bahrain, the headquarters of the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet, it added.

Harris will be in Spangdahlem, Germany, on January 16 to visit the 52nd Fighter Wing of the U.S. Air Force at Spangdahlem Air Base, the White House said.

"Throughout her trip, the Vice President will discuss the Biden-Harris administration's accomplishments over the past four years in each region, the U.S. partnership with the respective nations, the contributions of U.S. military forces to regional and global security, and the enduring national security interests of the United States," the White House said.

It added that Harris will engage with U.S. service members during the trip.
