What is the budget execution of the BiH Ministry of Defence?

(Patria) - The expert collegium of the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina recently considered the Report on Aspects of Temporary Financing for 2020 and the budget execution for this year at a session.

The execution of the Procurement Plan for 2020 was considered, as well as the directions of action after the adoption of the BiH institutions' budget for 2020.

Dissatisfaction was expressed with the reduced budget of the BiH Ministry of Defence, and guidelines were given for the further functioning and implementation of the plans of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH in the new circumstances.

Given that the Minister of Defence Sifet Podžić, a member of DF, whose president Željko Komšić gave the green light for the budget in the BiH Presidency, and although Podžić himself did not support such a budget, suspicion arose that the budget execution was not fully carried out in the first seven months of 2020.

"What is the budget execution of the BiH Ministry of Defence in the first seven months individually for all programs: military defence, international cooperation, collective security operation, administration, etc.?" is the question posed by SDP MP Saša Magazinović.

He told Patria that he will wait for the answer, and then he will be able to speak about the method of execution and whether everything has been spent.
