How is it possible that the incident with Croatian fans occurred, which directly affected the final result of the match between Croatia and the Czech Republic? Is there any connection with Bosnia and Herzegovina?
There is no serious motive that would confirm any claim about an alleged conflict between fans and the Croatian Football Federation? Why would such a conflict be transferred to the Euro? Why would only Croatian fans clash with their Football Federation and no one else anywhere in the vast football world, writes Patria.
Why did this conflict not erupt already in the first match against Turkey? Why did it appear in the second match, just before the end and with an uncertain score of 2 to 1 for the Croatian national team?
Of course, there were orchestrated animosities and artificially provoked conflicts between fan groups from the south of the country, and on the other side, the Croatian Football Federation and Zdravko Mamić, the long-time executive director of NK Dinamo.
It is difficult to connect the motives of this conflict. Why would this conflict be broken over the national team at one of the most important competitions, such as the European Championship? Judging by all the details of previous conflicts between fan groups and Mamić, the aim was to curb his excessive power over Croatian football. Why? There was talk of fixed matches, his complete control over half of the HNL clubs, and then over the national team and the Croatian Football Federation.
Someone, we assume, was bothered by the control Mamić had, so they organized a fan group for these purposes. Since the ball has been kicked in the former Yugoslavia, the state UDBA, and later the republican UDBAs, always wanted to control and direct the energy of the football masses. And of course, without much effort, it is possible to direct this energy wherever one wants. Naturally, some pretender to the rule of the HNL unleashed a fan group that is supposed to create conflicts and riots as needed and for specific goals.
All motives for the reaction of the alleged fan group against the Czech Republic are thin and hard to see. National and ideological - Orjuna backgrounds are difficult to sustain. Claims about infiltrated fans from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia have proven weak. So far, only one motive has not been analyzed, and it concerns a powerful betting organization, which is practically trying to wrest control of the Croatian league and Football Federation from Mamić from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Any other kind of control can ruin the betting business. That is probably why the powerful Mamićs were a problem. The question is why was there a brutal reaction at this moment of glory for the Croatian national team? It is also known that the Mamićs had considerable influence on the formation of the Croatian Football Federation, that they appointed Ante Čačić as the national team selector. Croatia has an exceptional football team and overnight became a shadow favorite at this Euro.
The Croats were convinced of victory against the Czechs. There was talk of huge bets. Particularly large bets were also placed for the gold at the Euro. And not only from Croatia, but from Europe. The odds for the championship title were much higher than for other national teams, and a serious quality and experience were shown. Croatian victories would probably have emptied the betting coffers. This team needed to be stopped with riots as a form of pressure.
After all, stopping this team, pushing it into failure meant demanding changes, reforms, dismissals and gaining control over Croatian football. The media writes that the young men, some in hoods, who caused the riots in France are from Zagreb, Split, and even Čapljina. It could be assumed that the incident was paid for, and that everything else is less likely. Of course, the mastermind is hard to find out. But, this is a lesson for our authorities who are trying to gain control over the revenues of bookmakers.
They must know that they have entered a field about which they know very little. And that their opponent is extremely serious and difficult to overcome. They will soon find this out in a new clash in the Federal Parliament, where the Government will prepare a new Law on Games of Chance. And where no one will cause a riot, but it will be done peacefully, parliamentarily, politically and without hoods.
