Kadirić Responds to SDA: You Destroyed the Economy and Now You Lecture Us

To Hasić Jusić, SDA representative in the Una-Sana Canton Assembly, who is attacking the Una-Sana Canton Government due to the high unemployment rate.

Representative Jusić, this Una-Sana Canton government has been leading this canton for only two years. On an annual basis, we have invested 10 times more funds into the economy than any previous government. This means you and yours invested almost nothing.

However, I believe that even our amount is nowhere near enough and that we should allocate far more, especially to production. We are working on it without jeopardizing financial stability. 

In two years, the Canton's obligations have been reduced by 35 million KM. Laws have been adopted that have resolved the areas of tourism and public-private partnerships, and for the first time, serious public calls for larger-capacity renewable energy projects are being made. 

In this area, you left us in complete chaos with millions in obligations, blocked accounts, etc. We are uniting the business sector and cooperatives, whose revenues are very significant and amount to tens of millions of KM. Who ever worked with them before this government?

We have budget stability; despite all the difficulties with Corona, our police, education, and other public sector employees receive regular salaries.

Corona stopped us, but we had an excellent start in 2019. We slowed down in 2020 due to Corona. However, we did not give up; we are working with what we have. 

The state of the economy is built over years, decades, and we inherited a desperate situation precisely from you and your politicians whose personal material, political quasi-status has always been, and still is, more important than the state and development. Today, we are fixing everything, within realistic limits, but we are fixing it. 

You had the opportunity as politicians over the last 20 years to build industrial zones throughout the Canton, to organize the economy, however, you did very little, and you had enormous opportunities. 

Until 2019, the business sector was, in the vernacular, the 'last priority' for the politics of Una-Sana Canton, mostly your party's. The high number of unemployed is your result, not ours. 

Representative Jusić, do not teach us how to generate added value, because neither you nor your entire bloc of representatives are worthy of even discussing it. Your work in the Assembly is destructive in every possible way. Your primary motive is solely to seize power, even with the devil. You are not interested in development and the economy at all. 

It is a shame that this government depends on the votes of representatives who are not worthy of leading serious business even at the level of a local community. Not to mention serious matters.

I will not talk about the issue of corruption, nepotism, and all forms of theft over the last 20 years that have crippled the economy, because if we want to move forward, we must find solutions, not excuses for failure.
