When Will Beba's Brother Mićo Kraljević Face Court: BiH Prosecutor's Office Investigates Vlasenica Mayor

An indictment has been filed against Višnja Aćimović, known as Beba. Aćimović is accused that in early June 1992, together with several VRS members, at the Mračni dol (Mračnica) site, located in the immediate vicinity of the Sušica camp, Vlasenica municipality, she knowingly and voluntarily, along with another soldier, personally participated in the murder of 37 Bosniak men who had previously been brought by bus from the prison located behind the courthouse in Vlasenica.

Aćimović is the sister of the current Mayor of Vlasenica Municipality, Miroslav Mićo Kraljević, a former SNSD MP in the RS National Assembly and wartime commander of the intervention platoon of the VRS special forces.

According to our information from the Prosecutor's Office, he is under special scrutiny by investigators, and the BiH Prosecutor's Office is working rapidly to document and take witness statements about the crimes Kraljević committed against innocent Bosniak civilians during the aggression.

Incidentally, among other crimes in the Vlasenica Municipality area, 262 children were killed, with 66 boys killed in Srebrenica who had just reached adulthood but had passed childhood. 323 women were killed. A total of 2,638 Bosniaks from Vlasenica were killed, 1,072 of them in and around Srebrenica.

Many have spoken about Mićo Kralj's horrific crimes, including the finally convicted war criminal Predrag Bastah when he sent a letter of repentance from the Foča prison to the president of the Association "Women Victims-War" Bakira Hasečić.

Bastah, sentenced to 22 years in prison by the BiH Court, asks Hasečić to advocate for the reopening of the judicial proceedings because he is "imprisoned innocently while his monstrous bosses hold high positions in the country.".

He emphasizes that he will testify about all the horrific crimes against Bosniaks in Vlasenica and the role of his superiors, and will also help in discovering yet undiscovered mass graves. He says he drove trucks with bodies, so he knows where the mass graves are.

In a lengthy, harrowing letter, Bastah describes numerous crimes, names those who ordered them, and informs Hasečić, the president of the association of raped women, who raped her sister Bedra.

- The second evening, Miroslav Kraljević came with a group of men to your sister's house and raped her in front of Smail (Bedra's husband, o.a.). Smail was taken to the "Sušica" camp, your sister came crying to the Police Station and begged Radenko Stanić and Mano Đurić not to take him or to allow her to go with him - writes Bastah and recounts in detail how the police chiefs later opened a kind of brothel in Bedra's house with detained young Bosniak women.

Bastah describes the executions of camp inmates, the mining of tombstones and the mosque, "and the minaret flew 50 meters into the air." He recounts how they moved mass graves from Vlasenica to other locations. He lists by name who operated the excavators for loading bodies, who drove the trucks, which Bosniak prisoners collected bodies if they fell from the excavator, all supervised by police chiefs.

- I recognized the body of Zumra Salaharević and her husband Hasan. I felt so sorry for that woman because she sewed maternity dresses for my wife. In the second pile was your sister, just as she was when she was alive, in her clothes... - the letter states.

The video we are publishing also testifies to Kraljević's participation in the aggression and genocide. The video shows the attack on Cerska, which was attacked by the JNA (Užice, Novi Sad, and Valjevo Corps) in coordination with local Chetniks and various Serbian paramilitary formations.
