When you have a father-in-law backing you: New director of BH-Gas ran private company EIN Natural, which was a loss-maker

The FBiH Development Bank is now seeking a buyer for the assets of Agrokomerc, in whose devaluation businessman Nihad Imamović participated, together with his friend, FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić. The value of a portion of the state-owned assets of the once-giant company from Velika Kladuša has been reduced from 25 million KM to just 2.2 million KM. Or a buyer already exists, but their name is not being made public, writes the Patria news agency.

While the food industry of Agrokomerc awaits a buyer, the government has already approved Jasmin Salkić, Imamović's son-in-law, to take the helm of another state-owned company, BH-Gas, which is a reward for his participation in the meticulously planned purchase of Agrokomerc.

Salkić has no experience in the energy sector. As a lawyer, he worked in companies where his father-in-law was either director or owner. He came to the director's chair at BH-Gas from the position of director of the private company EIN Natural, which produces juices. EIN Natural was founded, of course, by Nihad Imamović.

Salkić did not distinguish himself as a good manager in private business. Patria has obtained reliable data indicating that EIN Natural operates at a loss. The company was founded in 2011. It was reported that that year revenues were only 1,048 KM, while expenses were 60,000 KM. The company employed two workers.

The following year, 2012, the company generated revenue of 107,000 KM, but expenses were again higher than revenue, amounting to 111,000 KM. The number of employees remained unchanged.

Reports indicate that revenue at EIN Natural in 2013 suddenly increased. At 256,000 KM, it can be calculated that revenues nearly tripled compared to the previous year. Expenses amounted to 185,000 KM.

However, in the following year, 2014, expenses were again higher than revenue. They amounted to 164,000 KM, while reported revenue was 160,000 KM. The number of employees increased to seven that year.
