Kacin: NATO is well aware of what is happening in Montenegro

Newly appointed Ambassador of Slovenia to NATO, Jelko Kacin, stated that the North Atlantic Alliance is well aware of what is happening in Montenegro, reports the Patria News Agency.

Kacin, as reported by Podgorica media, assessed that the street protests of the opposition Democratic Front cannot destabilize Montenegro, because, as he stated, it is a mature society.

The fact that protests are being held in Montenegro, according to Kacin, is proof for NATO that it is a democratic country.

Kacin assessed that some messages from the leaders of the street protest are "megalomaniacal". The opposition Democratic Front (DF) has been protesting in Podgorica in front of the Parliament of Montenegro since September, with the aim of forming a transitional government that would "prepare fair elections" and the resignation of Milo Đukanović. Five days ago, the Montenegrin police broke up the protests of the opposition DF.
