Chase through the streets of Banja Luka: Inspector fled from police, ran multiple red lights, and only received a misdemeanor charge

(Patria) - A real drama unfolded on Sunday in the early morning hours on the streets of Banja Luka, and it's lucky no one was hurt.

The main role was played by Banja Luka inspector P. K.

It all started on Sunday around 02:15 when a managerial employee from the Lazarevo Police Station, in an unmarked police vehicle, was conducting a patrol and checking on officers in the field.

The drama occurred on a section of the Eastern Transit route from the "Delta" Shopping Center to the Rebrovac Church, according to "Gerila".

The officer stopped his "Škoda" at the intersection of Bulevar Srpske Vojske, Aleja Svetog Save, and Bulevar Vojvode Petra Bojovića, in the lane intended for going straight towards Rebrovac Church, when the traffic light was red.

At the critical moment, a black "Golf 6" arrived in the lane intended for turning left, and when it reached the front of the line, it went straight through the red light at the intersection.

At that moment, the police officer turned on his flashing lights and began chasing the "Golf", not knowing that inside was Banja Luka inspector P. K., employed in one of the administrations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska.

At the next intersection, the black "Golf" not only did not stop, but sped through another red light and drove towards the Rebrovac Bridge.

On the bridge, the police vehicle caught up and stopped in front of it, but the inspector again stepped on the gas and fled towards the roundabout.

A few seconds later, at the roundabout near the Rebrovac Church, the officer managed to block and stop the "Golf", and then learned that the driver was inspector P. K., who addressed him with the words: "What do you want, why are you stopping me?"

The officer replied that the inspector had endangered the safety of other traffic participants with his driving, to which the inspector retorted: "You also went through a red light, you have no right to follow me."

In the passenger seat of the Banja Luka inspector's vehicle was another male person, whose identity is unknown.

The officer then told the inspector that he needed to wait for a patrol for further checks, but P. K. abruptly started the car and drove off.

The entire case ended with a misdemeanor charge for reckless driving.
