Jozinović: I have never seen such deformation on a vehicle after an accident before

Three people lost their lives in a serious traffic accident that occurred last night around 11 PM on the M-17 highway in Goliješnica near Maglaj. Three more people were injured, but are out of danger, reports the Patria News Agency.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV with Austrian license plates, and a Mercedes passenger car, in which all three deceased persons were travelling. The deceased have been identified by their initials as H.O. (born 1997), A.M. (born 1997), and M.N. (born 1996).

-Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, we found a terrible situation. In my many years of work, I have never seen such deformation on a vehicle due to a strong impact. It is presumed that the vehicle was travelling at high speed and most likely the driver of the Mercedes failed to stay in their lane, resulting in a direct collision with the other vehicle," said the Head of the Žepče Police Department, Vladimir Jozinović, to N1.

At the scene of the accident, a specialized team of firefighters worked to extricate the deceased from the vehicles, as the vehicles were destroyed and deformed parts had trapped the passengers.
