Date for Donor Conference for BiH Not Yet Known

At this moment, we cannot speak about an approximate date for the donor conference, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH will engage all its resources to ensure the donor conference is held as soon as possible, the Patria agency was told at this state ministry.

- The donor conference would bring together potential donors, representatives of international financial, humanitarian, and other organizations and states in one place and could be organized immediately after the damage assessments caused by the floods are completed - the ministry stated.

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its session held on May 21, 2014, tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, and the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH, to prepare an initiative for the organization of an international donor conference to help BiH in order to repair the consequences of the catastrophic floods.

- Activities have already been initiated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH to gather an interdepartmental team of the mentioned ministries to determine the methodology of work and organizational aspects for the swift holding of the donor conference - it was emphasized in response to the Patria agency's inquiry.
