Another arrest in Operation Povratnik: Two kilograms of heroin discovered and seized during search

In continuation of the operation ordered by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the uncovering of narcotics crime structures continues. Carrying out further activities in the operation codenamed "Povratnik", aimed at discovering and prosecuting organized narcotics crime structures operating in Brčko and across BiH, police officers of SIPA and the Brčko District Police, acting on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, deprived of liberty the suspect Krndija Srđan, born in 1990 in Banja Luka.

Also, through operational work and investigative activities, information was obtained about possible locations where a larger quantity of narcotic drugs was hidden, and additional searches were carried out in which a quantity of more than 2 kilograms of the narcotic drug heroin was discovered, whose value on the illegal narcotics market reaches a price of around 100,000 KM, making it one of the largest heroin seizures in BiH in the recent period.

Operation "Povratnik" is aimed at combating organized narcotics crime in BiH, whose members carried out international smuggling of narcotic drugs into BiH, and further distribution of narcotics on the illegal narcotics market towards BiH and abroad.

Within the framework of the operation, significant cooperation was achieved with partner institutions of the Republic of Serbia.

Investigative activities continue further, and the persons under investigation are suspected of criminal acts of organized crime and unauthorized trafficking in narcotic drugs.
