Another young man wounded in shooting, fighting for his life, perpetrators on the run

During the night in Sarajevo, there was another shooting in which Ismar Š. born in 1991 sustained severe injuries.

The young man was transported to the Emergency Center of the University Clinical Center in Sarajevo.

- He was diagnosed with severe injuries to the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and both thighs. His life is in danger and doctors are fighting for his life - Muamera Šehić, spokesperson for KCUS, told the Patria News Agency.

The young man has been admitted to the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Resuscitation at KCUS.

According to the report from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, the shooting occurred around 3 AM in the "PODRUM" catering facility by two individuals, B.A. from Sarajevo and S.E. from Sarajevo, targeting Š.I. from Sarajevo and G.J. from Serbia.

- During the incident, Š.I. sustained gunshot wounds, and G.J. sustained injuries from a pistol butt to the head. Both were transported to the Emergency Center of KC Sarajevo, where after medical assistance, G.J. was diagnosed with minor bodily injuries, while Š.I. sustained gunshot wounds characterized as severe bodily injuries dangerous to life.

The perpetrators of this criminal offense fled the scene. The investigation was conducted by police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, and was supervised by the duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office. The judge for preliminary proceedings of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo was also informed of this incident. During the investigation, traces were found and seized, which will be subjected to necessary expert examinations. Police officers of Sarajevo Canton are intensively searching for the perpetrators of this criminal offense, who are known for committing similar criminal offenses for which they have previously served prison sentences.
