US Secretary of State John Kerry said that both Russia and Syria are violating a UN resolution adopted last year calling for humanitarian aid to be delivered to Syria and an end to the bombing of civilians in that country, reports the Patria News Agency.
Kerry accused Russia of using outdated imprecise bombs over populated areas, causing the deaths of numerous civilians, women, and children.
"This must stop," Kerry said.
He said that the Russians have made proposals as part of ceasefire negotiations, but "if these are just negotiations for the sake of negotiations to continue bombing, nobody will accept that. And we will know that in the coming days," writes Index.
