Jerko announced ten days ago that he would be arrested, accused HDZ BiH

At a press conference held on September 19, 2015 in Tuzla after the session of the Presidency of the People's Party Work for Betterment, Jerko Ivanković Lijanović announced the possibility of his renewed arrest, accusing the structures of HDZ BiH, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- Today I also informed the Presidency of Betterment about the existence of reliable information from HDZ BiH, that they continue their witch hunt against Betterment, and that they are trying, through certain media they influence, which have been waging a campaign against me and my work in the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry in the previous term, and through pressure on certain institutions, to once again secure a political process for the purpose of discrediting both me and the work of the People's Party Work for Betterment and our intention to abolish the cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Ivanković Lijanović said then.

- Unfortunately, a year ago they succeeded, through campaigns and lies, in putting pressure on our citizens, deceiving and corrupting them, and politically influencing my arrest at the start of the election campaign, thereby changing the election result in Bosnia and Herzegovina by directly interfering in the electoral process, which has resulted in today's negative consequences for our population with all the mentioned negative trends.

We in Betterment believe that the rule of law is very important for Bosnia and Herzegovina, that we should all be equal before the law, and that any political party, through lies and untruths and campaigns by certain media and under pressure from any institution, should not work on eliminating political competition, but should fight by presenting its work. Therefore, Betterment will not relent in its struggle for the goal of abolishing the cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Jerko Ivanković Lijanović.
