Jerko Ivanković Lijanović: I hope the attack has no political background

The Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry in the FBiH Government, Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, was physically attacked today around 11:30 AM, in front of the Borak restaurant in Široki Brijeg, confirmed Emina Trhulj, media coordinator for the People's Party Work to Betterment, for the Patria agency.

- I thank the Ministry of Internal Affairs of West Herzegovina Canton and the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs for their swift intervention, and I hope this attack has no political background - said Ivanković Lijanović.

An unknown man hit Ivanković Lijanović on the head with a pistol, after which he fled in an unknown direction.

Ivanković Lijanović received first aid at the Široki Brijeg Health Center, after which he was called to the Široki Brijeg Police Department, where he gave a statement.

Around 1:00 PM, police officers found and arrested R. C. (43) from Široki Brijeg, who is suspected of committing this criminal offense.
