One-month detention for Šemo Suljić for murder

TUZLA, (Patria) - The Municipal Court of Tuzla accepted the proposal of the acting prosecutor and ordered a one-month detention for Šemo Suljić (45) from Tuzla due to the existence of grounded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of murder.

Suljić is suspected of having, on the evening of February 4, 2021, in the house where he lives in the Tuzla settlement of Kojšino, during an argument and physical altercation with Marijan Zekanović, with whom he had previously consumed alcohol, inflicted two stab wounds to the chest and multiple injuries to other parts of the body with a kitchen knife, killing him.

Members of the Criminal Police Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TK deprived the suspect of his liberty, criminal processing was carried out, and he was handed over to the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office with a report on the committed criminal offense. The acting prosecutor issued an order to conduct an investigation and questioned the suspect. Various expert examinations and other investigative actions are being carried out by order of the prosecutor in order to establish all circumstances related to this event.
