(Patria) - Dušan Krsmanović, a former member of the Zemun clan and one of those convicted for the murder of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić, has been released from prison.
Krsmanović is released into freedom ahead of the 20th anniversary of the murder of the former prime minister, writes N1. He was released after serving 20 years in prison.
He was arrested in the "Sablja" operation; by the first-instance verdict, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison, but his sentence was reduced to 20 years by the decision of the Court of Appeals.
Let us recall, Đinđić was murdered on March 12, 2003, in the courtyard of the Serbian Government building in Belgrade.
