Is Deputy Director of Pension and Disability Insurance Fund Ivan Rogić under investigation by the BiH Prosecutor's Office for war crimes?

The Government of the Federation of BiH appointed Ivan Rogić as Deputy Director of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Fund in mid-July, a position he also held until 2011 as an HDZ BiH cadre.

It is indicative that the public tender for this position did not include a clause requiring that a candidate "has not been convicted of a criminal offense and is not subject to criminal proceedings." Such a tender was announced by the Government of the Federation of BiH. Previous public tenders for the selection and appointment to high positions in the FBiH required that candidates not be subject to criminal proceedings.
Slobodna Bosna reported that the fact that Rogić did not have to submit a certificate, which is usually required from candidates applying for high positions, "can be explained by speculations that he has been under investigation by the BiH Prosecutor's Office for a long time."

According to unofficial information obtained by Slobodna Bosna, as the former president of HDZ BiH in Jablanica, and one of the HVO commanders, Ivan Rogić is suspected of committing the criminal offense of war crimes against Bosniaks in the surrounding villages in the spring of 1993.

When asked by Patria journalists whether an investigation was being conducted against Rogić, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina could neither confirm nor deny.
