Did the FBiH Government deceive Krivaja workers: Declared themselves incompetent two hours after promising aid

Did the Federal Government deceive more than 700 workers of Krivaja Mobel from Zavidovići, who today sought help from Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and his advisors? Two hours after promising aid to the workers, the Government declared itself incompetent in the Krivaja case.

Representatives of the workers of the Zavidovići company, which is on the verge of collapse, asked Novalić to help them terminate the contract with Ortačka grupa, which bought Krivaja in 2014. Ortačka grupa has not fulfilled a single condition of the contract to this day. Ortačka grupa is not meeting its obligations to the workers, nor have they opened new jobs. They are also not repaying the inherited loan. Workers are demanding the immediate termination of the contract with Ortačka grupa and the sale of the company to a new investor. While there is still a chance for Krivaja's recovery.

Workers' representative Besim Husić told NAP that Prime Minister Novalić's advisors promised today in the FBiH Government building that they would get involved in resolving the problems of Krivaja Mobel workers. Prime Minister Novalić himself appeared at the meeting for about ten minutes. The workers were given full support. More than 700 workers, after the meeting at the FBiH Government, also gave up the hunger strike they had announced for today.

Just two hours after the meeting, which was attended by advisors to the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Mayor of Zavidovići Municipality Suad Omerasevic, the President of the Management Board of the Development Bank of FBiH Salko Selman, the Director of the Federal Employment Bureau Omer Korjenić, and representatives of the workers of the company "Krivaja Mobel", a statement arrived from the Government stating that the Government has no legal basis to take any measures in the case of Krivaja Mobel. The contract for the sale of Krivaja to Ortačka grupa, which later formed the company "Krivaja Mobel", was signed by the bankruptcy trustee.
