Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean performed again for the Sarajevo audience

(Patria) - Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, gold medalists at the 14th Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, performed tonight in the Mirza Delibašić Hall of KSC Skenderija. They were welcomed by Mayor Benjamina Karić.

The audience first watched their performance from 40 years ago, and then they came out on the ice together and performed a short routine, which the audience applauded.

They performed as part of the 'Sarajevo Open' figure skating competition organized by the BiH Skating Federation.

Both Torvill and Dean did not hide their enthusiasm for being back in Sarajevo, although they had visited before. As they announced, they will see us again at the 50th anniversary of the Olympics.

For their performance in 1984, Dean and Torvill received an incredible 12 scores of 6.0 out of a possible 18, and for artistic impression, which is most valued in figure skating, they received all nine maximum sixes.

"Our biggest rivals and sporting opponents were, of course, skaters from the Soviet Union. And when I saw that their coach gave us a score of 6.0, not 5.8 or 5.9, but a clean 6.0, I couldn't believe it. It was a magical moment," Dean said earlier.

Jayne and Christopher returned to Sarajevo in 1998 and 2014, when they repeated their magic in Zetra.
