Jasmin Čoloman acquitted of charges for crimes in Vitez in 1993

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina acquitted Jasmin Čoloman of charges for crimes in the Vitez area in 1993, BIRN reported, as carried by the Patria news agency Patria.

The panel concluded that there is no evidence that Čoloman, as a member of the Sabotage Platoon of the Seventh Muslim Brigade of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH), participated on April 24, 1993, in the murder of Croatian civilians who were detained in a house in the village of Počulice.

- The prosecution did not present sufficient evidence - said the presiding judge of the panel, Halil Lagumdžija.

The panel lifted the restrictive measures against Čoloman. An appeal against this verdict is possible to the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as reported by NAP.
