January salaries for police in Sarajevo Canton increased by 6.5 KM

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Police officers in Sarajevo Canton will have higher salaries, as the calculation base from January 1 this year will be 295 KM.

This was established by the Agreement on the calculation base for salaries of police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, which was signed today by the Prime Minister of KS Elmedin Konaković and the President of the Management Board of the Police Union Mirza Hadžiabdić.

As Prime Minister Konaković pointed out, in accordance with the previously signed Collective Agreement between the Government and this union, the calculation base for police salaries, instead of the previous 289.5 KM, will be 295 KM, so that police officers will receive their January salary calculated with the new base.

- The Government of Sarajevo Canton expresses satisfaction, as it has made maximum efforts to improve and enhance the working conditions of the police. Much has been invested in equipment, we have ensured the recruitment of new people, and we are especially pleased that the police in the field, during the mandate of this Government, are receiving a salary increase for the second time - emphasized Prime Minister Konaković after signing this agreement.

President Hadžiabdić, on behalf of the members of the Police Union of KS, expressed satisfaction with the relationship and social dialogue achieved with the current Government of KS, and expressed expectations that this practice will continue in the future.

- We expect to very soon finalize the drafting of certain legal and by-laws concerning the police and civil servants and employees in our ministry - said Hadžiabdić on this occasion.

Today's signing was attended by the Minister of Interior of KS Vedran Mulabdić.
