A commemoration for the legendary singer-songwriter Jadranka Stojaković will be held on Monday, May 9th, at the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska, and on the same day she will be buried in the Vrbanja cemetery in the Alley of Meritorious Citizens of Banja Luka, writes the Patria News Agency.
Jadranka Stojaković was born on July 24, 1950, in Sarajevo, where she began her unique musical career. She passed away yesterday at the age of 66 after a long and serious illness. From 1988 to 2012, she lived in Japan, after which she moved to Banja Luka. She spent the last two years in the nursing home "Ivan Pavao Drugi" in Banja Luka.
Her passing has shaken the public across the former country, which she said she loved immensely. Most of her colleagues are deeply affected and still say they do not have the strength to speak about how special Jadranka was, both as a person and as an artist.
