BiH, (Patria) - Humanitarian Association "Svjetlo" is implementing an action to strengthen the livestock of Bosniak returnees in the BiH entity of Republika Srpska, in order to economically empower them and support their sustainable return.
The goal, as stated by the association, is to provide at least one cow to every family living in rural areas of eastern Bosnia with poor financial standing, and then to ensure the regular purchase of dairy products.
"We have already managed to organize the purchase of dairy products from several returnees from Vlasenica. We distribute their products to Sarajevo and other cities," said the "Svjetlo" association.
The latest donation was handed over to the family of returnee Amel Ramić from Hrance near Bratunac. This family of four previously lived on 75 KM of child benefit. Their other source of income was scrap materials.
"The money for this cow was provided by the BiH diaspora from Sweden, organized in the humanitarian association "Pomoć Bosni" (Help Bosnia). They have been helping returnees in eastern Bosnia for several years," said the "Svjetlo" Association. They add that they hope this donation will help the Ramić family have a more comfortable life than before.
