Funds approved for businesses to mitigate economic impact of COVID-19 transferred

(Patria) - After the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton completed all procedures related to public calls for financing applicable taxes and contributions on the minimum monthly net salary (in FBiH) for the period of business activity ban in March and April 2021, and for financing all or part of the minimum monthly net salary (in FBiH) for the respective months, and published the list of rejected and accepted business entities based on these public calls, the KS Government in the past few days transferred funds to commercial banks, which will, in the coming days, be credited to the accounts of business entities that are on the list of those who have qualified for support.

We remind you that this concerns 3,588 business entities that, based on these public calls, qualified for financing all or part of the minimum monthly net salary (in FBiH) for March and April 2021, and 794 business entities that qualified for financing applicable taxes and contributions on the minimum monthly net salary (in FBiH) for the period of business activity ban for the respective months.

The total funds allocated by the Government of Sarajevo Canton to commercial banks amount to 8,976,241.08 KM for 5,640 business entities.

A second-instance Commission for resolving appeals against the results of these public calls has also been formed, and will be confirmed at the next session of the KS Government. The Commission will, within the legally prescribed timeframe, review the appeals and prepare the final list of accepted business entity applications.

Also, we remind you that starting tomorrow, the disbursement of funds to artisans and craftsmen who have qualified for support under the Public Call for the preservation and development of traditional crafts and trades will begin.
