Export of weapons to Ukraine is not in BiH's interest

At today's session of the Presidency of BiH, a stance on the export of weapons and military equipment from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ukraine was adopted, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

1. Bosnia and Herzegovina's foreign policy towards international partners is based on openness and equality, mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, the principle of peaceful cooperation, respect for international law, and consideration of mutual interests.

2. The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina is of the opinion that the crisis in Ukraine can only be resolved by peaceful, democratic means, through political dialogue and negotiations, with full respect for international law.

3. The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina welcomes the current initiative of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and the President of the Republic of France, and calls on all actors to constructively engage in political and diplomatic dialogue and negotiations in order to achieve a peaceful resolution of the crisis in Ukraine.

4. The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina is of the opinion that the export of weapons and military equipment from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ukraine is not in the foreign policy interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina at this time, as it does not contribute to regional security, stability, and current international diplomatic efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution of the crisis in Ukraine.
