
(Patria) - The pronouncement of the first-instance verdict in the case of Nenad Perović is scheduled for May 31, 2019. The accused Nenad Perović is charged with committing the criminal offense of crimes against humanity from Article 172, Paragraph 1, Point h), in conjunction with Point g), in conjunction with Article 31 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all in conjunction with Article 180, Paragraph 1 of the same law.
"The indictment charges the accused that, in the period from the end of May 1992 to the end of 1993, during a widespread and systematic attack by the Army of Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the police of the Rogatica Public Security Station, supported by paramilitary formations from the Republic of Serbia, directed against the Bosniak civilian population in the municipality of Rogatica, as a member of the Army of Republika Srpska – VP 7084 Rogatica, knowing about such an attack and that his actions were part of that attack, participated in the persecution of the Bosniak civilian population in the municipality of Rogatica on national and religious grounds in connection with assisting another soldier in forcing another person, by using force or threat of direct attack on her life or body, into a sexual relationship (rape) and participating in any other form of severe sexual violence," stated the BiH Court.
