Reuven Rivlin, President of Israel, spoke with coach Eli Guttman and told him that the united ambition is to win the match against BiH tonight in Haifa, Israeli media write, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
Rivlin is considered the biggest football fan among all presidents, and is a former manager of Beitar Jerusalem. He will not attend the match, and has expressed concern over the rise of violence across the country, as well as on football fields.
Rivlin told Guttman that the national team must set a good example and be the pride of the entire population.
Guttman told the president that he hopes to congratulate him on a victory in their next conversation, and he promised to do everything possible to make that happen.
