(Patria) - Israeli forces attacked Palestinians with tear gas to prevent them from performing Eid al-Fitr prayers near the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex, which Israeli authorities have closed since the beginning of the US-Israeli war against Iran.
The Jerusalem Governorate condemned the continued closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, which prevented Palestinians from performing Eid al-Fitr prayers.
In a statement, the Governorate described Israel's further closure of the Muslim holy site as a "dangerous and unprecedented escalation and a clear violation of freedom of religion and the existing legal and historical status quo in the Holy City".
